Little People's Academy (Hill Street, Dublin 1); are actively seeking dynamic early-years professionals to join our dedicated team. If you have a minimum of a QQI level 5 in childcare with relevant childcare experience, excellent communication skills, a good up-to-date knowledge of early-years policy and enjoy working as part of a team; we invite you to apply for this role.
* Be willing to work with children of various ages
* Perform a variety of tasks, such as nappy changing, toileting, sterilising, feeding, nap supervision and engaging in play.
* Conduct observations of children and plan for their learning
* Follow the policies and procedures of the service at all times
* Cleaning, tidying and storage of equipment and toys after use
* Co-ordinate the implementation of activities suitable for different age groups
* Maintain room, and equipment, to ensure the health and safety of children at all times
* Ensure a good standard of hygiene
* Organise materials and toys to the benefit of children
* Support children’s developments – emotional, social, physical and cognitive in carrying out activities
* Attend meetings and undergo training as required
* Be aware of child protection procedures
* Maintain strict confidentiality
* Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time
Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Childcare
Minimum 1 year work experience with different ages of children
Ability to work as part of a team
Kindness, warmth and responsiveness to the needs of children
Good Communication and Relating Skills with children, staff and parents
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
Will be required to complete a Garda Vetting
Little People's Academy supplies full-time, part-time and sessional early-years care and education to children aged 1 years to 6 years of age.
