An Early years educator position is available in Magnolia Montessori due to our relocation to a bright and airy space in Faughs GAA Club, Templeogue. We are looking for a kind, motivated and caring educator with a positive outlook. The successful candidate will be working in a collaborative environment that follows the Aistear Curriculum and the Montessori Method of education. The position will be for 5.5 hours per day. Salary will be in line with the candidate's education and experience.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment and follow the Aistear Curriculum and the Montessori Method of early education.
Set up the environment, welcome children and assist them to choose activities, games and materials. Present new material when required.
Ensure the activities are easily accessible to the children and follow the interests of the children devising and planning activities to develop the their interests and needs at a given time.
Assist children with their lunch and sit with them while they enjoy the social occasion of eating, drinking and chatting.
Observe the children at work and play both indoors and outdoors and use observations to link to Aistears aims and goals.
Attend monthly meetings and training as required, be aware of child protection procedures and maintain strict confidentiality with regard to the families in our service at all times.
Minimum QQI Level 5, Level 6 or Level 7 in Early Years Education
Experience working in an early years service using the Aistear early years curriculum and the Childcare Regulations to comply with the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Kind, gently, warm, fair, positive and motivated person
Excellent communication skills relating to parents, children and staff
Children First and First Aid Certificate required
Qualification and experience in the Montessori method of education
