ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As Deputy Manager/Early Years Teacher of the service, the successful candidate will be required to work in partnership with the general manager to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the Service.

COMPETITIVE SALARY-34-36k upwards dependent on qualifications and experience.
Role of Aim Support :
KILMINCHY SCHOOL HOUSE & LITTLE STARS MONTESSORI SCHOOL are also seeking AIM Early Years Educators for both schools.
Part-time position: 15 - 17.5 hours per week am or pm session - End of August- Term Time Contract . There may also be 30 hr weekly contracts.
Requirements:
Minimum QQI Level 5 (with experience).
AIM Support - QQI Level 5 (minimum) with experience.
Deputy Manager - QQI Level 7 (Experienced Level 6 with Management experience may apply.)
Kilminchy School House Portlaoise (www.kilminchyschoolhouse.ie ) are currently seeking interested and experienced candidates ( 3yrs plus) with a passion, understanding and love of working with children in our Wobbler- Toddler Room from the end of July 17 ( level 7/8 preferable), We would also consider someone who is interested in covering Maternity Leave for the same group from the End of July. Please specify on application.
Hours:40 hr contract with flexibility ( Possibly reduced hours over Summer Months pending the needs of the business)
Salary: 11 + an hour
Start date: End of July
Roles and Responsibilities
Great sense of humour and patience. Ability to take responsibility for being Group Leader preferably (or Shared) within the group and great flexibility and initiative in meeting the children’s needs. Someone who can work under pressure and multi-task and interest in assisting in preparation of food would be advantageous.
Ability to work in collaboration and communication within a team of teachers.
Assess and plan for children’s learning based on their interests and needs.
Excellent administrative skills to document learning and maintain all relevant records.
Adhering to company policies, procedures and operational practices at all times
Ensuring positive working relationships are developed and maintained with children, staff, parents and carers.
Awareness of early years regulations, relevant legislation and policies.
Commitment to developing an inclusive setting within the context of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion guidelines 2015.
Developing practice within the guidelines of the Aistear-Siolta Practice guide.
Undertake personal responsibility to comply with the services Child protection policy.
Willingness to carry out other duties consistent with the role of an Early Years Educator as required form time to time by the Manager/Proprietor.
The successful candidate must have:
Preferably a Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education at Level 7 / 8 from a recognised body
Relevant criteria for ECCE Scheme (i.e. minimum 3 years experience in a childcare setting) but not essential.
Knowledge of working with the Aistear-Siolta practice guide Curriculum Framework.

Good communication skills – Fluency in both spoken & written English
