Early Years Educator

Morning position - Preschool Room Assistant; 9:00am - 12:30pm available for a kind & nurturing Early Years Educator at Childrens Republic Montessori, Killeeneen NS, Galway.

Additional afternoon hours are available if required.

• Planning the daily activities of the Montessori class, together with other staff and volunteers.
• Supporting the children in their learning in order to ensure their continuing social, emotional & educational development.
• Assist in fostering a positive & attractive learning environment to ensure that the children spend their time at Childrens Republic in nurturing & stimulating surroundings.
• To assist in preparing resources and equipment as necessary, in order to support the children's learning.
• To assist in maintaining clear records and observations so that children receive the maximum benefit from their time at Childrens Republic.

• Minimum QQI Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent.
• A love for Outdoor Play including Forest Adventures, Beach Days and Theatre/Creative experiences.
• Be creative, self-motivated and passionate about early learning and development.
• A strong working knowledge of Aistear, Síolta and the emergent curriculum.
• The ability to plan for, record and document childrens development.
• Be reliable, flexible, organised and trustworthy.
