Roles and Responsibilities
Your Role:
As part of a Management Team, you will (but not limited to):
- Oversee and support the daily operations to deliver high-quality Early Years Education and Care.
- Lead, mentor, and support staff in creating safe, nurturing environments.
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices both in practice and implementing policies
- Collaborate with families, team members, and leadership teams
- Drive curriculum planning and support developmental needs
- Manage administrative tasks, including enrollments, schedules, and records.
- Champion staff training, performance reviews, and professional growth.
The successful candidate must have
Key Requirements:
A love and passion for working with children (essential)
- Education: Level 8+ in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years and 3+ years managing a large team in an Irish Early Years setting.
- Belief and an understanding in a Play-Based philosophy and ethos
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in Early Years Regulations and a play-based, child-centered approach.
- Passion and dedication to providing quality care and education to children
- Eagerness to support your team in practice as well as completing administrative tasks and duties

Roots and Wings Early Years Education and Care is a new purpose built crèche which opened in February 2017 at Beresford, Donabate. The facility is a sister business to the multi award winning Beverton Preschool which has been in operation in Donabate since 2002, Roots & Wings Kindergarten and Afterschool (2021) and most recently Roots & Wings on the green (August 2024).
